ABOUT THIS LIVESTREAM
Virtual Railfan’s cameras in Thomasville, North Carolina, are hosted by the Thomasville Visitors Center, located inside the historic 1871 Southern Railway depot. These cameras overlook Norfolk Southern’s busy Danville District — part of the Piedmont Division and former Southern Railway mainline between Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.

An average of 35 trains per day pass here, including NS intermodal, manifest, and unit trains, plus Amtrak’s Crescent, Carolinian, and Piedmont passenger services. The south camera captures the grade crossing at MP 306.1 (Fisher Ferry Rd).
