This video is live-streaming the harbor and historic town center of Mornac-sur-Seudre, a small fishing village in the Charente-Maritime department of France’s Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
Mornac-sur-Seudre was once a bustling port thriving on fishing and maritime trade, and today it’s renowned for oyster farming and salt production. The village perches atop the left bank of the Seudre River, where narrow lanes are lined with traditional whitewashed houses featuring green and blue wooden shutters. Medieval stone pathways and charming artisan workshops give it the distinction of being named one of “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France” (The Most Beautiful Villages of France). Around the village, salt marshes still produce fleur de sel using time-honored methods, and the riverbanks are dotted with oyster beds, creating a scene that feels like a living landscape painting.
